Don’t mind me, I’m just basking in the anticipation of 70 degree days and ice cream weather. With the worst of winter firmly behind us (blizzards and holiday parties included), the thought of vivid, saturated colors and breezy fabrics is all that’s occupying my mind right now. Much of that has to do with the brilliant looks showcased during the spring/summer 2022 shows. From Miu Miu’s “early aughts meets prep school” collection to Jil Sander’s minimalist show, there were several standout moments that have lived in my head rent-free since their debuts in October. Nothing thrills me like a corset moment, and this season’s best one comes courtesy of one of my favorite brands, ACNE Studios. The outfit itself isn’t complicated, but I love how it’s an entirely different way of styling a corset that we haven’t seen a lot of yet. I can see myself wearing this to a fashion party or to a friendly soirée when serving up a lewk is the objective.
